JOB PURPOSE:
The IT Operations & Security Analyst supports the organization's information security, technology operations, asset management, infrastructure, and project initiatives. The role works closely with the IT Security team, IT Manager, Project Management team, internal stakeholders, and the organization's Managed Service Provider (MSP) to help ensure technology assets and access are secure, appropriately managed, and effectively supported.
The successful candidate will assist with security monitoring and reporting, user access reviews, endpoint and asset lifecycle management, cloud infrastructure coordination, project activities, and end-user support. This position is well suited for an IT professional who is analytical, organized, service-oriented, and interested in building broad experience across cybersecurity and IT operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Information Security & Access Governance
- Assist the IT Security team with reviewing security dashboards, reports, trends, and key performance metrics.
- Analyze system usage and perform routine reviews of user accounts, permissions, access rights, security groups, and privileged access.
- Identify exceptions, inactive or unnecessary access, and other findings that require follow-up or remediation.
- Support periodic access certifications, audit requests, compliance reporting, and evidence collection.
- Assist with vulnerability remediation tracking, security control monitoring, and security awareness initiatives.
- Maintain clear documentation of security procedures, review results, findings, and corrective actions.
- Escalate suspected security issues and access anomalies in accordance with established procedures.
Asset Management & Microsoft Intune Administration
- Work with the IT Manager to support the organization's technology asset management program and lifecycle processes.
- Maintain accurate asset records in the organization's cloud-based asset management system.
- Assist with the provisioning, deployment, assignment, transfer, repair, recovery, and retirement of technology assets.
- Manage and support enrolled devices through Microsoft Intune, including device configuration, compliance policies, application deployment, inventory reporting, and routine troubleshooting.
- Perform recurring reconciliations and audits to validate device ownership, location, status, configuration, and inventory accuracy.
- Support secure device return, data handling, disposal, and asset documentation processes.
- Assist with reporting on inventory changes, device compliance, asset exceptions, and lifecycle status.
Cloud Infrastructure & MSP Coordination
- Coordinate with the organization's MSP on the administration, monitoring, maintenance, and support of cloud infrastructure.
- Track incidents, service requests, changes, and remediation activities assigned to the MSP.
- Assist with infrastructure documentation, operational reviews, change management, and service delivery follow-up.
- Validate that requested work is completed, documented, and escalated when service expectations are not met.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of escalated cloud, network, system, and application issues.
Technical Support & IT Operations
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for end users, including hardware, software, network, account, connectivity, printing, and mobile device issues.
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows endpoints, printers, mobile devices, conference room technology, and related business applications.
- Assist with basic network monitoring and troubleshooting, including wired, wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity issues.
- Document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and knowledge articles in the service management system.
- Provide on-site support at company locations, including light travel as needed.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance or emergency support activities when required.
Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, endpoint management, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune or a comparable endpoint management platform.
- Experience with IT asset inventory, lifecycle management, or a cloud-based asset management system.
- Experience working in healthcare, a regulated industry, or a compliance-driven environment, preferred.
- Experience coordinating technical projects, vendors, or managed service providers, preferred.
- Experience with IT service management, ticketing, and documentation platforms.
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of identity, user access, permissions, groups, and role-based access concepts.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, access governance, and security best practices, preferred.
Core Technical Proficiencies:
- Endpoint & Identity: Microsoft Intune; Microsoft Entra ID; Windows 10/11; Microsoft 365 administration; device compliance and application deployment.
- Security & Governance: Security metrics and reporting; access reviews; permissions analysis; vulnerability remediation tracking; audit evidence.
- Infrastructure: Cloud infrastructure concepts; networking fundamentals; VPN, DNS, DHCP, wired and wireless connectivity.
- Operations: Asset management platforms; service desk and ticketing systems; technical documentation; vendor and MSP coordination.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to analyze reports, identify exceptions, document findings, and follow issues through resolution.
- Ability to travel locally to company locations as needed.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, AWS, endpoint security, vulnerability management, or security reporting tools, preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Azure Fundamentals, or ITIL Foundation, preferred.
Physical Requirements
Individuals must be able to sustain certain physical requirements essential to the job. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Standing – Duration of up to 6 hours a day.
- Sitting/Stationary Positions – Sedentary position in duration of up to 6-8 hours a day for consecutive hours/periods.
- Lifting/Push/Pull – Up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and other items used in the scope of the job using OSHA guidelines, etc.
- Bending/Squatting – Have to be able to safely bend or squat to perform the essential functions under the scope of the job.
- Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing – Must be able to safely maneuver stairs, climb up/down, and walk to access work areas.
- Agility/Fine Motor Skills - Must demonstrate agility and fine motor skills to operate and activate equipment, devices, instruments, and tools to complete essential job functions (ie. typing, use of supplies, equipment, etc.)
- Sight/Visual Requirements – Must be able to visually read documentation, papers, orders, signs, etc., and type/write documentation, etc. with accuracy.
- Audio Hearing and Motor Skills (Language) Requirements – Must be able to listen attentively and document information from patients, community members, co-workers, clients, providers, etc., and intake information through audio processing with accuracy. In addition, they must be able to speak comfortably and clearly with language motor skills for customers to understand the individual.
- Cognitive Ability – Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making, reasonableness, cognitive ability, rational processing, and analysis to satisfy essential functions of the job.

Salary Range (Min-Max):
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00
