If this sounds like you, let's talk.
Your role:
Working closely with the wider Americas team and alongside the global aftersales team, the Parts and Warranty Strategy Manager owns the strategic direction of parts, accessories and warranty for the region, with a strong focus on process improvement and cost efficiency. Given how much of our fleet is still under warranty, parts and warranty overlap heavily, and this role is responsible for connecting the two to build a more efficient, cost effective operation as the business scales. This is a strategic, process focused role rather than a day to day operational one.
This role also oversees and manages the Parts & Accessories Distribution Specialist, who owns day to day execution, including dealer and field team support, customs and import processing, and PDC inventory management.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Lead process improvement initiatives across the regional P&A team, assessing the current state of the business and building more efficient ways of working
- Drive high level supply chain and logistics strategy for the PDC, including improving fill rate and overall network efficiency
- Own parts and accessories pricing strategy
- Own warranty strategy and cost reduction, working closely with the HQ Warranty Team given the significant overlap between parts and warranty while the fleet is still largely under warranty
- Manage vendor and logistics partner strategy, including warehousing expansion and cost reduction initiatives across logistics
- Act as a strong liaison between global HQ, the Americas team and vendors to identify risks and drive streamlining and cost saving measures
- Identify and help build technology and systems improvements that support the P&A and warranty strategy
- Own cross functional programs and projects, such as sales team accessory initiatives and the Stock Accrual Program
- Report regularly on key metrics, including spend, purchases, quality and cost, to help identify enhancement opportunities for the business
- Establish, launch and administer Dealer Parts Performance metrics to track network performance and identify top and bottom performers
- Review, administer and improve warranty, accessories and spare parts claim programs and processes in coordination with the HQ Warranty Team, Regulatory Compliance and the Americas Aftersales team
- Manage and develop the Parts & Accessories Distribution Specialist, who owns day to day execution including dealer and field team support, customs and import processing, and PDC inventory management
What we are looking for:
- At least 7 to 10+ years of relevant experience
- Ideally comes from an automotive aftersales background, with significant parts and/or warranty experience
- A strong process improvement mindset with a track record of streamlining operations, a Kaizen mentality
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience working with logistics partners, including warehousing operations
- Stakeholder management, including relationship building across departments and functions
- Comfortable managing a direct report, and comfortable with ambiguity, able to figure out what needs to get done with limited direction
- Occasional travel throughout the Americas region may be required
It is a prerequisite that the successful candidate be based out of our Montvale, New Jersey office, working in office 5 days a week.
