Receptionist

CBRE HV • Full-time • New York, New York, United States • 21h ago

Job Description

About CBRE and Experience Services: CBRE is the world's largest commercial real estate services firm. Experience by Industrious is CBRE’s global hospitality business that partners with leading companies and landlords to design and operate workplaces people love coming to. We treat the daily experience of work as a product worth obsessing over, and we build our teams with people who feel the same way. About the Role: The Receptionist shapes the experience everyone has from the moment they walk through the door. You're the first person most people see when they walk through the door — that greeting, that eye contact, that sense someone is glad they arrived, sets the tone for everything that follows. On a well-run site, it's never an accident. You own the lobby, the visitor process, the conference room calendar, and the daily logistics of a busy front desk. You will be successful in this role when you make every visitor and employee feel expected and well taken care of, and run the front desk reliably enough that no one has to think about it. What You'll Do: Front Desk & Visitors * Greet clients, applicants, and visitors, issue visitor and parking passes, and apply security protocols so every guest feels expected. * Receive and direct incoming calls to the appropriate personnel or voicemail so callers reach the right person. Meetings & Hospitality * Schedule and prepare meeting and conference rooms, including room setup, catering orders, and equipment, so meetings start on time. * Request building and housekeeping services to maintain the condition of shared spaces. * Arrange hospitality services for guests, including transportation, tickets, and reservations. Mail & Office Coordination * Track incoming and outgoing packages, mail, and freight, and arrange messenger service. * Handle general clerical duties, distribute faxes and packages, and order office supplies so employees have what they need. This Role Is a Good Fit If You: * Get energy from imparting kindness, help, and recommendations to others. The more people you interact with in a day, the better you feel when you head home. * Are known for noticing a guest, friend, or family members needs something before they ask. People constantly tell you "I can't believe you read my mind on that." * Stay warm and even-keeled under pressure: whether it's the morning rush, an early VIP, or a caller who's already frustrated, and people notice you never seem rattled. * Look forward to being at the desk before anyone else arrives, so you're the one setting the tone from the first hello. * Are a stickler for details. You feel at your best when every visitor's information is logged, every conference room reservation is made, every I dotted and T crossed. Why CBRE?
