 Job Summary:

 

The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for accurate and timely data entry and processing of vendor invoices and payments. This is a high-volume, detail-oriented role that is essential to the smooth operation of our AP function. This is a long-term position with potential for growth within a dynamic and expanding company.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Enter and process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Verify invoices against purchase orders and receipts before processing
  • Flag and follow up on any invoice discrepancies, missing information, or questionable charges
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments remain current
  • Maintain and organize vendor files and records
  • Assist with processing employee expense reports
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Assist with 1099 filings and other AP-related filings
  • Maintain accurate historical records and confidentiality of all financial information
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus but not required
  • 1–2 years of accounts payable, heavy data entry, or related clerical experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills; Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidential information
  • Team player with good written and verbal communication skills
