The Point Pleasant Borough School District is seeking a Plumber to be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of the pumbing systems throughout the school district.
Responsiblities include, but are not limited to:
-Perform Journeyman-level installation, piping, valves, and drainage systems (interior, exterior, and roof-level).
-Install, maintain and repair equipment such as hot water heaters and tanks, showers, lavatories, toilets, urinals, sinks, pipes, etc.
-Manage complex heating plant components, including boilers, gauges, pumps as well as temperature control programming. (BMS)
-Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Building and Grounds or Director of Operations including but not limited to painting, snow removal and plowing, carpentry work and other maintenance and plumbing projects.
Qualifications:
- A high school education or equivalent.
-Must have at least fours years experience in the plumbing trade
-Must be able to perform assigned tasks and help and assist others in maintenance department.
-Must be mature and possess integrity.
-Must hold a valid New Jersey driver's license
-Plumber's license and Low Pressure Black Seal License preferred
-Must have the ability to get along with one's colleagues, architects, engineers, contractors and the general public.
-Must have considerable knowledge of principles, methods, tools and procedures of the plumbing trade.
-Must have considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
-Must have the ability to follow accurately oral and written instructions.
-Must have the ability to prepare records and reports of the work performed.
-Must present a neat appearance and dress suitably for the position.
