Location: This is an on-site role based in Edison, New Jersey, with occasional travel to the NYC office at least once per month. Initial training will take place in the NYC office.
Note: Must have 4+ years of construction accounting experience. Experience with billing, requisitions, payment applications, job cost analysis, and project accounting is required.

Job Description
- Prepare and administer monthly requisitions and payment applications in accordance with contract requirements
- Generate invoices and maintain change order logs for assigned projects
- Track, communicate, and help resolve open billing, collections, and project accounting issues
- Compile and distribute cash management and forecast reports for leadership
- Maintain organized and complete billing files and project documentation
- Analyze job costs and profit/loss for assigned projects
- Work closely with project managers on billings, change orders, back charges, closeouts, and profitability
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders regarding collections, approvals, and billing status
- Review and generate lien waivers, tax certificates, certified payroll, insurance, and M/WBE reporting as required
- Support accounting leadership on broader accounting and reporting needs
- Serve as a dependable, hands-on accounting partner for active construction projects
Qualifications
- 4+ years of construction accounting experience
- Strong experience with billing, requisitions, payment applications, and collections
- Accounts Payable experience with solid accounting and analytical ability
- Experience with job cost reporting and profit/loss analysis
- Viewpoint by Vista experience strongly preferred
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
