Purchasing Manager - Full-Time - Union, NJ

Title:   Purchasing Manager                     

Reports to: Director of Purchasing

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary of Position:

Our Purchasing Manager position is an engaging and demanding role. It requires a high level of well-rounded experience, with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. We are seeking an individual who can collaborate with internal and external experts to both manage and expand our supply chain. The position is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment. This position manages a portfolio of products, no people management responsibility. 

Responsibilities

• Manage the relationship with vendors for assigned products.                   
• Partner with suppliers in developing strategic alignment between the supply base and multiple National distribution centers.
• Manage inventory through multiple sales channels and national distribution centers.
• Coordinate between internal departments to drive profitability and eliminate waste. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, or engineering.
• 5 years’ experience with perishable purchasing.
• Experience in a mid-sized organization.
• Tier one or two supplier purchasing professional experience.
• Experience with Supply Chain management.
