SUMMARY A growing, full-service engineering and consulting firm is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Manager to join its Traffic Engineering team. The selected candidate will support and mentor junior staff while leading traffic and transportation projects from concept through approval. RESPONSIBILITIES Preparing traffic impact and parking studies Performing intersection capacity and operational analyses Designing traffic signal systems and roadway improvements Developing traffic control and maintenance plans Creating signal timing directives Preparing technical reports and agency submissions Supporting zoning and land development permitting Conducting field inspections and coordination Presenting projects to municipal, county, and state agencies The role also includes training and oversight of entry- and mid-level engineers and analysts. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) 6 years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering Proficiency with Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/SimTraffic Experience with traffic studies, signal design, and roadway projects Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Self-motivated with a growth mindset Experience with zoning and site plan approvals is a plus but not required.
